Mallorca's olive oil producers: the people behind our range
Behind every good olive oil from Mallorca are people who know their olive groves like their own garden. We want to introduce the producers and brands whose products we offer — so that you know where the oil on your table comes from. We are an independent shop: we do not make these products, the producers do.
Oli Caimari
The mountain village of Caimari lies in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, surrounded by some of the island's oldest olive groves. Oli Caimari is one of the producers within the Oli de Mallorca PDO.
Its extra virgin olive oil 250 ml is a good starting point for Mallorcan olive oil. The brand also makes the flavoured condiment range and the spice salt.
Antoni Mateu
Antoni Mateu is an artisan Mallorcan food producer with a wide range that goes well beyond olive oil.
The Coupage 250 ml is a blend of local varieties that varies slightly with each harvest. Antoni Mateu also makes the olive pastes and the sea salt series.
Oli Verjo
Oli Verjo stands for early-harvest olive oils. The olives are picked before they are fully ripe, when polyphenol content peaks and the oil still has its most intense green colour and strongest aroma. The result is an oil for connoisseurs: challenging, complex and rich in character.
The Oli Verjo 500 ml is an easy way into early-harvest olive oils.
MUNAR and La Luna
Two traditional Mallorcan producers specialising in olive pâtés: MUNAR, with its creamy, balanced paste, and La Luna, with its distinctive, slightly sweet profile.
