Mallorcan olive pâté is one of those ingredients that multiply the flavour of any dish with very little effort. Its smooth texture and intense aroma make it a kitchen all-rounder that goes far beyond pa amb oli. Here are five quick recipes you can make in under 10 minutes that will impress any guest.

1. Pa amb oli toast with black olive pâté

The classic and most direct recipe. Toast a slice of rustic bread, rub it with ripe tomato, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil from Mallorca and spread a generous spoonful of the Antoni Mateu Black Olive Pâté. Finish with a few flakes of Mallorcan sea salt. Ten seconds of work, a memorable result.

2. Pasta with olive pâté, garlic and Parmesan

Cook spaghetti al dente. In a pan, warm two tablespoons of olive oil with a sliced garlic clove. Take it off the heat, add two tablespoons of MUNAR Traditional Pâté 200 g and mix. Add the drained pasta, stir until everything is combined, then add grated Parmesan and black pepper. Done.

3. Mediterranean dip for appetisers

In a bowl, mix two tablespoons of the Antoni Mateu Green Olive Pâté with two tablespoons of Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of olive oil. Season with black pepper and a squeeze of lemon. Serve with toasted pita bread, carrot or cucumber sticks. A perfect appetiser for an impromptu get-together.

4. Mediterranean salad vinaigrette

In a jar, whisk one teaspoon of olive pâté, two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, salt and oregano. Shake and use straight away on green salads, tomato and cheese salads or roasted peppers. Much more interesting than a standard dressing.

5. Baked salmon with a pâté and herb crust

Place salmon fillets in an oven dish. Spread a thin layer of La Luna Traditional Pâté 195 g over each fillet. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, salt with aromatic herbs and a drizzle of oil. Bake at 200 °C for 12 minutes. The pâté forms an aromatic crust that keeps the fish juicy.

The key ingredient: which pâté to choose

  • Intense, classic flavour: Antoni Mateu Black Olive Pâté or MUNAR Traditional.
  • Milder, fruitier flavour: Antoni Mateu Green Olive Pâté.
  • For cooking: MUNAR Classic or La Luna.
